Derek Zoolander is a male model with the IQ of a breadstick. He is brainwashed and primed to assassinate some world leader or other when he hears a trigger. His friends figure this out for him and help him to foil the plot.

I'd seen this once before on a long-haul flight. I hated it then. However, watching movies on planes really does nothing for the experience, so I gave it another go. It's not as bad as I first thought, but it's still a distinctly average Stiller movie (as so many of his seem to be). Absolutely loads of celebrity cameos though.

Chazz Michael Michaels (Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Heder) are bitter figure-skating rivals. When they get into a fist fight on the ice, both receive lifetime bans from the sport... Until they discover a loophole that allows them to enter as a team.

It's pretty standard fair, Ferrell is his usual OTT self, Heder holds up against that well and the two are funny together, which helps. Not the funniest film I've ever seen, not the worst, it's just an average comedy.

Will Ferrell is Jackie Moon, the owner / player / coach of the Flint Michegan Tropics. He has to get his basketball team of misfits into 4th place in order to take advantage of a merger deal with the NBA. Comedy ensues. Mostly. Some funny bits, anyway.
