I love this film. It's easily the best film Adam Sandler's ever made.
It's about Happy Gilmore, a failed hockey fanatic who discovers he can hit a golf ball over 400 yards. A pro-golfer spots him hustling at the driving range and decides to offer his services helping Happy win the pro tour in order to make enough money to save his grandmothers house from repossession. It's a stupid plot really, but it works - mainly because of Shooter McGavin, who is such a brilliant character.
There are a few bits that irritate, but it's still ace.
