The Incredible Hulk (2008)

[Movie 20 / Day 10]

Edward Norton plays Bruce Banner, the scientist who, in an experiment gone wrong, has gamma radiation coursing through his body, turning him into The Hulk whenever he gets angry and his pulse rises above 200bpm (or thereabouts).

Liv Tyler is Betty Ross, the female scientist and Banner's love interest.

Although this flick is CGI laden, the storyline is pretty good - we follow Banner as he desperately tries to find a cure whilst the military are trying to track and capture him. During his search for a cure, he inadvertantly helps to create The Abomination, a rogue soldier (Tim Roth) that has gone mad with his lust for power, eventually poisoning himself with The Hulk's blood in order to become like him.

The only thing I really don't like about it is Tim Roth, who just doesn't seem right for the role to me.

It's waaaay better than the 2003 movie Hulk and leaves the way open for several sequels, depending on which way the film-makers want to go... Thanks to this and Iron Man, the future is looking good for Marvel comic book movies.

My rating: 7.6 / 10
IMDB rating: 7.3 / 10
Running time: 112 mins
